So long 1508!

Today is bittersweet....we closed on our condo!  Exactly 9 yrs ago, on December 29, 2003, I became a homeowner.  My Mom helped me rip up the gross carpet, my Dad helped me lay new flooring in the bathroom and kitchen, the Nanny was my roommate (the her rent being a mere $200/month) and took care of things while I traveled the world.  When Chris swept me off my feet and took me to Affton (Affton, romantic?), we rented the condo to a friend for 3 years.  When she left this past July, we put the condo on the market.  And it sat.  And sat. And sat.  Until a few weeks ago when a handicapped gentleman offered us a contract.  Without hesitation, we accepted.  Unfortunately, the deal was just not complete yet.  The buyer had to get the Condo Association & the City of Brentwood to approve a wheelchair lift to be built outside of the condo.  Luckily, everything got approved...we closed today, and we can officially declare we are a one-mortgage paying household again!  Farewell 1508 High School Drive, it's been fun!
