Thanks to Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood (a new favorite show on PBS), Marie has taken an interest in potty training. Daniel sings a song: "If you have to go potty, STOP, and go right away. Flush and wash and be on your way!" Not only does she sing the song, but Marie actually does what the song says....and really goes potty! Lately, she has come up to us and said "poop", so we put her on the potty, she then flushes, washes and is on her way (just like Daniel says)....except for an additional thing. Afterwards, she looks in the potty and says "Money!" I've replayed Daniel's song and nowhere in the song does he talk about money. Are kids asking for money this early in life? If money is needed to guarantee a smooth transition during potty training, then so be it!
