Music To Our Ears

Last week, Alice had her 4 month (already?!) Dr visit.  All is well, she's doing great and on track with her percentages.  We got the ever-so-wonderful word from the Dr that we can let her "cry it out" in the middle of the night.  A few weeks ago, she started crying around 3am, we'd go in, give her a binkie (we're actually anti-binkies, but if it helps her, fine) and she'd put herself back to sleep.  Dr said to just let her cry it out, that she needs to learn to put herself back to sleep on her own.  The same night we started the "cry it out" approach, was also the same night we decided to end our run with the Miracle Blanket (sigh).  We figured if we're going to piss her off one night, might as well make it a good one.  I'm happy to report that not only did she not cry at night, but she slept 10+ hours every night this past weekend.  Rolling over and seeing 7:30am on the clock and knowing that you didn't get up with her in the middle of the night was a FAN-TASTIC way to start each day.  Congrats, Alice....we're so proud (and well rested)!
