Mrs. Reinheimer, please see the Principal!

We enrolled Marie in a weekly (for 4 weeks) playtime at the Parkway Early Childhood Education Center.  Just an hour and 15 minutes of playtime, story time, music time, snack time, etc.  We thought it would be a great way for her to interact with kids her own age.  She loves it....I, on the other hand, may have gotten in trouble in the first class.  You see, there are 10 toddlers and their Moms.  A lot of the activities are on the floor in "circle time" and at kiddie tables for them to paint, etc.  At 32 weeks, it's a little difficult for me to keep getting up and down from the floor to play with her or wrangle her to the next scheduled activity, but I made due.  During story time/snack time, the kids were supposed to sit down, eat a snack and drink water from a paper Dixie cup.  Not sure if you know Marie's history of food, but she isn't really interested in food...especially if there are toys galore and an play area bigger than she's ever seen before.  So, during story time, Marie wasn't at the tables eating, she went off to play.  So I, who was exhausted from getting up and down from the ground for the past hour and 15 minutes (this baby is taking all of my energy!), was exhausted, and sat at the kid's tables with the other kids and Moms, all while watching where Marie was playing.  Miss Shelly (that's what we're supposed to call her, but I call her something else in my head), stops story time and totally calls me out in front of everyone.
Miss Shelly:  "Would you like to bring Marie over to story time?"
Me:  "That's ok, she's not really into food."
Teacher: "Yes, but it's best to bring her over so she gets used to story time."
Me: "Uh, sure."
And with that, everyone got to see a 32 week pregnant woman wrestle a picky eater back to the story time circle, sit on the floor for the umpteenth time and make her eat her snack.  Hoping for a better report card (for Mommy) at class #2 this week.

The ball pit...her fave part!

The sensory table...of course, took noodles out and counted them one by one.
