We love holiday weekends! An extra day home with Daddy, BBQs and time with family & friends. One thing we do not like about holiday weekends is the heat. This Memorial Day weekend was no different. Luckily, a small window of breezy weather came through on Monday morning, so we hit the road....to the Arch! Of course Marie was in awe of the Arch, saying "Wow" and "Oh man" (her 2 new favorite terms of excitement). We stayed long enough for some pictures and a run around the grounds (figured we'd save a trip up the Arch in the rickety cars for another time), then the sun came out. We (OK, me, I'm the one who's the big baby in the heat) fled back to the car and towards home. After a quick lunch, the little tourist took a well-deserved 3 hour nap. Until the next holiday weekend...
