One of my Dad's favorite Fall outings was always the Forest Park Balloon Race. I can remember the family packing up the car with chairs, blankets and LOTS of food and spending the afternoon watching the balloons take off. We are continuing the tradition, with a bit of a twist....this year the Winter Family headed to the Balloon Glow, rather than the Race. We got to walk right up to the balloons! The fun thing was to listen for the blowhorns to signal when all balloons light up with "dragon fire" (Madelyn lingo). It was really cool! Marie was a trooper the whole time and took in all of the sights and sounds. Dad would have loved it!
