For my niece Madelyn's 5th birthday present, we told her she could come over to our house for dinner, ice cream, a movie and pancakes in the morning. We stuck to our promise and last night was the BIG sleepover. We dined at Helen Fitzgerald's (but told her to tell her Daddy we went to Dierdorf & Hart's), then swung by Ted Drewes for dessert. When we got home we watched Alvin & the Chipmunks The Ssqueakquel, which she knew every word & dance move. We were late to bed and early to rise for pancakes at Chris' Pancakes. The highlight of the night for Madelyn was spending time with Ruby. She was fascinated with scooping her food into her dish, giving her peanut butter and most importanly, was AMAZED that Ruby crawled under our bed to sleep. Aunt Julie & Uncle Chris may sneak in a nap today since our house guest has the knack of snoring like a trucker and keeping us up all night :) We had a great time and can't wait until the next sleepover. Here are a few pics from last night:
Madelyn was in my "14 week" picture.
Apparently she thought it was a contest to see who's tummy was bigger.
The girls ready for movie time!
Always wanting to pet Ruby...
Feeding Ruby peanut butter from her finger is "gross, but so much fun!"
