Well Hello, 2013!

The end of 2012 brought some much needed (come on, it's not the holidays without a little snow) snow!  Since Marie has a tough time saying her SN words, she was running around the house all day yelling "NO, NO, NOOOO!"  I'm sure confusing the hell out of Ruby all day, but making her Mommy & Daddy crack up.  Due to the "no" falling, we brought out the garage sale 18 month size snowsuit that Grammy bought last year (yes it still fits tiny Marie).  Daddy matched the suit with some Target Princess boots he picked up, and she was set!  As you can see below, dressing up was the hit of getting out in the "no".  I have zero pictures from her actually outside since it lasted all of 2 minutes.  Maybe next snowfall, we'll get some snowman or snow angel pics.  Doubtful.

The ringing in of 2013 was fantastic!  At our house, it happened at 8pm, then both girls were in bed by 9pm.  Then Mommy & Daddy saw the ball drop in NYC at 11pm, and the house shut down.  No wearing a sparkly outfit, driving home worrying about drunk drivers and no hangovers.  Well, maybe someone has a slight hangover this morning....really, Alice?!  Get it together.

Here is Marie doing as her Mommy & Daddy did when they were little....go outside at midnight (or 8pm works fine too), bang the heck out of pots & pans and yell "HAPPY NEW YEAR!"  Ok, she didn't yell, she quietly said "Happy New New" (Normal Marie-speak for "new new" is noodle, so we're pretty sure she was utterly confused as to why we're telling her to go outside and yell "NOODLE!"), and lightly tapped on the pan with Daddy.  There's always next year.

Bring on 2013!!
